The Sindh Finance Department has announced that Muslim government employees and pensioners in Sindh will receive their salaries, allowances, and pensions earlier than usual because of Eid-ul-Adha.
According to the official notification, payments for May 2026 will be given on May 20 instead of June 1.
This decision applies to all Muslim employees of the provincial government, including those working on a work-charged basis and staff paid under contingent arrangements, as well as pensioners.
The government took this step to help people prepare for Eid, which is expected to be observed on May 27 or May 28 depending on the moon sighting.
