Kuala Lumpur: A Malaysian food delivery rider has captured the attention of social media users across Asia for his resilience and determination after losing his left arm in a traffic accident in May 2017.

26-year-old Ahmad Nabil Rosuli, from East Malaysia, became widely discussed online after a video went viral showing him stopped at a traffic checkpoint while riding his motorcycle.

When asked by a police officer about his missing arm, Ahmad explained that his motorcycle had skidded on the road during the accident, catching fire and leaving him severely injured. He went into a coma, and his heart stopped for nearly half an hour.

Reflecting on the incident, Ahmad said, “It was an extremely difficult time, but the doctors did everything to save me. Losing my arm was challenging, but I decided to see it as a second chance at life and focus on living well.”

Encouraged by his family, Ahmad began working as a food delivery rider in 2021. He now completes more than 30 deliveries daily. Initially, he used a prosthetic arm, but discontinued it due to shoulder pain.

Ahmad is currently saving money from his job to marry a woman from Singapore, with their wedding expected in December 2026.
