Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir conducted a comprehensive visit to the Lahore Cantonment, where he was briefed on the operational preparedness of the formation, according to Inter-Service Public Relation (ISPR).
During his visit, Field Marshal Munir was given a detailed briefing on the measures taken to enhance the training standards and combat skills of the formation. The briefing outlined how innovative training methods and cutting-edge technologies are being integrated into the Army’s operational frameworks.
One of the key highlights of the visit was the special field training exercise, which showcased the practical application of the latest warfare technologies. The exercise demonstrated the Army’s capacity to adapt to evolving combat environments, with a focus on innovation and agility in military tactics. The exercise underscored the importance of readiness and modernization in maintaining strategic superiority.
Field Marshal Munir also took time to inspect the sports and recreational facilities provided for the troops. Recognizing the importance of morale and well-being, he acknowledged the efforts being made to ensure that soldiers have access to top-notch recreational amenities alongside their rigorous military training.
In a significant move to emphasize the Army’s commitment to healthcare, the Field Marshal visited the High Care Center at CMH Lahore, where he commended the exceptional efforts of the medical staff and administration in establishing high-quality healthcare facilities. The modern infrastructure aims to provide state-of-the-art medical care to the personnel, ensuring their health and well-being remain a top priority.
Addressing officers present at the occasion, Field Marshal Munir emphasized a zero-tolerance policy against any threat to national security, reiterating the Army’s resolve to protect Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and internal stability. He reassured the troops that Pakistan’s Armed Forces remain steadfast in their mission to safeguard the nation from all challenges.
“With focused attention, professional expertise, and unwavering determination, we will continue to address the challenges that lie ahead,” said Field Marshal Munir in his address. “Our Armed Forces are committed to maintaining the peace, security, and integrity of our beloved country.”
