Four more HIV cases diagnosed in Larkana

Four new cases of HIV diagnosed in Larkana, Sindh.

According to reports, four new cases of HIV were confirmed while carrying out screening tests of patients. The cases were diagnosed in the district hospital Ratto Dero, Sindh.

The total number of HIV cases in the province has soared to staggering 901.

According to facts and figures, infected people include 740 children and 161 adults. During the last two and a half month screening process, total of 30 thousand and 939 people have been tested for HIV.

Incharge Sindh Aids control program Dr Sikander Memon said that after screening tests, 901 people have been diagnosed positive for HIV.

Out of 740 children 350 are being treated at the anti-retroviral treatment center.

20 people have already died due to non-treatment at early phase, meanwhile many are still waiting to be treated.
