India’s war medalist Zafar Siddiqui is being involved with Samaa TV, for running an agenda against national security under a specific plan.
A senior journalist Umair Yasir has filed a petition against Samaa TV in PEMRA, for tarnishing Islamic and cultural identity through pornographic material.
According to the petition, Zafar Siddiqui’s partner, former Indian soldier Rakesh, has also been awarded the Vishesh Siva Medal in India. Zafar Siddiqui and Rakesh besides ABN-360.
As per details, CNBC Africa, CNBC Arabia, Forbes Africa are also partners of Samaa. Under Section 25 of PEMRA, no TV license can be issued with any foreign person or foreign funding. The petitioner has requested PEMRA that the license of Samaa TV is against the law and it should be revoked.
SAMAA TV has a well-organized plan to include un-Islamic and immoral content in the program in order to mislead the new generation, spreading obscenity and filth in an attempt to mislead Pakistani society.

Not only that, but the internal environment of SAMAA TV is also a source of mental anguish for the employees, especially women workers. Sexual harassment in the name of so-called enlightened management is nothing new for SAMAA TV. The most senior team leaders Farhan Mallick, Naveed Siddiqui, and Chief Operating Officer Fahd Haroon have been accused of patronizing the party. The ombudsman also ruled in favor of the woman and imposed a heavy fine on the senior administration three months ago.
The petition calls on PEMRA to take action against Samaa TV in the light of the evidence and to suspend the channel’s license immediately.
