Met office issues flood warning in Punjab

Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued flood alert in Punjab after heavy rains predicted from today till July 27.

According to details, heavy monsoon rains have been forecasted from today’s evening to July 27, likely to bring the heavy flood in various cities of the province.

The Punjab Met Department said that the floods may attain from the river Kabul and its adjoining rivers, high floods are also expected in upstream of Mangla.

Severe flooding is also expected in River Chenab and River Indus.

Heavy flood is expected in Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Lahore and Sargodha Division.

Meteorological Department has sent flood alert advisory to all the provincial bodies and directed all the concerned authorities to take precautionary measures in their respective areas before possible flood situation.
