Heavy rainfall spread havoc on the creaky civic infrastructure and have caused much destruction all over Punjab.

It also caused massive urban flooding and widespread power outages, according to Pakistan Meteorological Department.

The downpour — which began last week, dumping a total of 54mm of rainfall over 48 hours.

Many low-lying areas were flooded and several electricity feeders were tripped.

The flights schedule was severely affected by bad weather conditions and around 14 flights have been cancelled.
